Although the box is not in good condition, The diesel in FLAWLESS, it runs great, with very little track time, if any!! The Item has been stored for years, and it is dusty, I will leave that to the winning bidder/collector. This great diesel was built 1974-1976 only. It was introduced by Lionel as a part of the great new SPIRIT of '76 COMMEMORATIVE SERIES. This series is truly one of the finest and most unique collections in LIONEL HISTORY. 1976...the anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of independence! And in celebration of this great event, Lionel announces a most unique collection: THE SPIRIT OF '76 COMMEMORATIVE SERIES. Item has the spectacular stars and stripes markings of the special Seaboard train that 1st toured the country in 1975.
