Lionel Wabash F3 Diesel #2240 A-B Set. Excellent Condition This is a Lionel Wabash F3 Diesel #2240 A and B. The A unit is the operating engine the B unit is a dummy. The A unit is in Excellent condition (C7) the B unit is in very good - excellent condition as it does have a spot of surface rust but looks so good that I would say that it rates closer to Excellent. This A-B set was produced by Lionel in 1956. It is very similar to the 2367 and is a rare variant of that engine. This train the 2240 was cataloged as an O-27 Gauge while the 2367 was cataloged as an O. There are some minor signs of wear on the front end near the coupler but as you can see in the photos it is very minor. The battery door and battery compartment are spotless. The paint on both the A and B unit looks fantastic and the Wabash roadname decals on the A unit look great, no scratches at all. This is a great opportunity to grab this powerful postwar F3. The A unit has: magantraction, operating metal front coupler, functional horn, and an illuminated headlight and number board. The B unit has metal non-operating front and rear couplers.
