This set has all the parts that were originally included in the set in 1946. My grandma bought it at a barn sale outside of Pittsurgh, PA in the summer of 1962. I believe I was the second owner, but not sure. The boxes are in rough condition, but the numbers match those on the cars. The train runs fine. I never tried to operate the dump car or the merchandise car. I was unaware that they were anything special until I researched them just last week. I even found a clip on youTube showing the 3454 merchandise car in action!
